A series of eco-prints on silk made with plants gathered from Top Sail Island; just down river from and within view of the Steel Plant. The names of various chemicals known to be emitted from the Steel Plant are mordant printed onto the silk with ferrous sulphate. The series of unique prints are displayed in a custom built miniature gallery. The mini gallery project was funded through a grant written by Goldie Barzan from the City of Sault Ste. Marie's Arts and Cultural Assistance Program. Additional galleries by Goldie and Aryo Barzan can be found at the downtown plaza and by Keith Nadjiwon at Fort Creek. The goal of the min galleries project is to create more encounters with art in the public sphere.
